I have had the opportunity to live in several states and visit many places. I
have found beauty in all these locations and moved to South
Carolina in
October 1999. I especially enjoy painting the
variety of landscapes and architecture of
different
areas as well as flowers, abstracts, etc.
I enjoy working in watercolors, acrylics and inks because they flow on the
paper and hold unexpected surprises when one is working with them.
I have taken workshops from prominent artists, Tony Couch, Gary Akers,
Paul George,
Carlton Plummer and Betty Lou Schrems. I have learned from them and through
adaptation have developed my own style.
I am a member of the South Carolina Watercolor
Society, Blue Ridge Art Council in
Seneca, SC, and Upstate Visual Arts in Greenville, South Carolina. I have
shown work in the First Light Art Gallery in Easley, South Carolina; Patina on Ram Cat
Alley in Seneca, SC; and Country Gallery & Frame in Tamassee, SC.
I received a first place in the Anderson Artists Guild Show summer of 2000
and was in the 23rd Annual Juried South Carolina Artists Exhibition. I was juried into the Anderson Artists Guild
show the fall of 2000 and the Blue Ridge Art Council's Spring 2001 show.
In
addition, I have participated in the Anderson Soiree and Greenville Art in the Park,
as well as various events sponsored by the Blue Ridge Art Council. I also participated in Seneca Waterfest 2000 With Art.
I invite you to explore my art and I hope that you enjoy viewing each
piece as much as I did capturing the moment.
